Check which modifiers a base can use
Can this base take the modifier at my item level?
Use the affix workbench to decide whether an ordinary prefix or suffix is eligible for one base after you set the item level and exclude families you do not want. The workbench answers eligibility. It leaves the chance of rolling any modifier unstated.
PoE2 affix workbenchPoE affix workbenchHow do I check a family?
- Open the workbench for the game whose bases you are crafting around. Each game has its own base list.
- Choose the base. The page title is that base plus its affixes, and the item-level control starts at the base's minimum drop level.
- Raise or lower Item level. A tier at or below that level is available. A higher tier stays in the family and is marked Higher item level when you show unavailable rows.
- Use Prefixes, Suffixes, or Find a modifier to narrow the list. Exclude family removes every tier that shares the excluded modifier's family. Restore family or Restore all brings those rows back.
- Show unavailable reveals rows the current filters reject, including excluded families, unmet item levels and any additional conditions on the admitted ordinary modifiers.
Which tiers change when the item level stays at the base drop level?
Absent Amulet affixes in Path of Exile 2
Absent Amulet is a amulets base with level 50. At that item level, of the Gorilla is available: +(21-24) to Strength. It requires item level 44. of the Goliath is a higher-level suffix in that family: +(25-27) to Strength. It requires item level 55, so the row reads Higher item level until you raise the control.
of the Brute and of the Wrestler belong to the same modifier family. Excluding of the Brute (+(5-8) to Strength, item level 1) marks of the Wrestler (+(9-12) to Strength, item level 11) as family excluded.
Agate Amulet affixes in Path of Exile
Agate Amulet is a amulets base with level 20. At that item level, of the Wrestler is available: +(13-17) to Strength. It requires item level 11. of the Bear is a higher-level suffix in that family: +(18-22) to Strength. It requires item level 22, so the row reads Higher item level until you raise the control.
of the Brute and of the Wrestler belong to the same modifier family. Excluding of the Brute (+(8-12) to Strength, item level 1) marks of the Wrestler (+(13-17) to Strength, item level 11) as family excluded.
What does the workbench leave out?
- Ordinary prefixes and suffixes for the selected base are the list. Influences, special crafting, and tags added by other modifiers stay outside that list.
- Spawn weights are not shown, and the page does not turn them into a crafting chance or a cost.
- Item level accepts a whole number from 1 to 1000. A saved filter belongs to one game and one base.
- An excluded family remains excluded on the share link for that base. It does not change the item comparison or the acquisition list until you choose equipment there.
What should I open after the base is eligible?
Unique versions of the same base are linked from the base card. Open item comparison when you want two unique items and their requirements, or open the acquisition plan when the next decision is how many of a listed unique you still need.
