Which skill should this uncut gem become, and what does levelling it change?

Gem comparison places two Path of Exile 2 gems side by side, or one gem at two levels. Each effect line of the second gem states how much each of its values changes from the first. Costs and required level state the difference in their own units. There is no combined score.

How do I compare two levels of one gem?

  1. Choose the first gem, then the second. The same gem on both sides is valid.
  2. Set each gem level on its own control. Costs, required level and effect values follow the selected level.
  3. Read each effect section separately. An infused variant keeps its own damage and projectile lines.
  4. Share link keeps both gems, both levels and any character plan already in the address.

What changes between Spark at level 10 and level 20?

Spark at level 20 costs 56 Mana. Uses 37 more Mana than the first gem. Required level is 90. Requires 54 levels higher than the first gem.

  • Deals 11 to 216 Lightning Damage: 8 to 155 more than at level 10
  • Fires 9 Projectiles: 3 more than at level 10

What does the comparison leave out?

  • Quality is not applied. Values are the gem level rows only.
  • Support gems, passives and equipment do not modify the shown values.
  • A gem without a database page has no link from the comparison.

Where do the chosen gems go?

A gem with a database page can be added to the gems already chosen in the character builder. Equipment comparison stays on the item comparison.
